Dream in NOVA Scholarship

Our Dream in NOVA Scholarship is designed to advance equity for first-generation Osbourn High School seniors who aspire to pursue higher education. When you are the first in your family to navigate college, the journey is filled with significant questions, obstacles, and financial barriers. This scholarship is one way we help level the playing field.

We were honored to present our inaugural Dream in NOVA Osbourn High School Scholarship, created specifically to support first-generation students whose potential deserves to be recognized and uplifted.

Congratulations to our first recipient, Amy! Amy’s story is rooted in resilience, gratitude, and deep family values. She draws daily inspiration from her late grandmother, whose wisdom continues to guide her. Through lessons about the value of hard work, perseverance, and maintaining a positive mindset, Amy learned early on that the right attitude can shape your entire path. Her grandmother’s influence has helped her rise academically and emotionally, even through challenging moments. Amy embodies what this scholarship stands for—strength, ambition, and the courage to be the first.

At Dream in NOVA, our mission is to expand opportunity throughout Northern Virginia by ensuring that we all have a fair shot at success. Supporting first-generation students is an essential part of that mission. When we collectively invest in students like Amy, we’re not just supporting one individual; we’re uplifting a family, a community, and future generations.

We are so proud of Amy’s achievements and can’t wait to see all that she accomplishes in the next chapter of her journey.
